Bass Response Check

Available

Inspect low-frequency audio reproduction, ear-tip acoustic seal, and listen for rattling or buzzing under deep bass signals.

Safe listening:Sub-bass frequencies require a secure ear-tip seal. Ensure earbuds are seated comfortably in your ears.

Sub-bass slow sweep (20 Hz → 150 Hz)

Plays a continuous 12-second sweep through deep low frequencies to listen for resonance anomalies or distortion.

Discrete sub-bass tones

What to listen for

  • Rattle or Buzzing: Listen for physical rattling or enclosure buzzing under sustained 40–60 Hz bass tones.
  • Seal Asymmetry: If bass sounds noticeably deeper in one ear, adjust ear-tip size or insertion depth.
  • Distortion: Low bass should sound smooth and clean rather than distorted or raspy.

Technical context

This check generates low-frequency test signals to help you observe physical acoustic response. It is an observational check and does not perform certified laboratory acoustic measurement.
