A/V Latency Check

Available

Evaluate perceptual audio/video synchronization by adjusting the time alignment between screen flashes and auditory clicks.

Safe listening:Adjust the delay slider until the screen flash and audio click feel simultaneous to your eyes and ears.

What to listen for

  • Bluetooth Delay: Standard Bluetooth codecs often introduce 100–250 ms delay; low-latency codecs reduce this significantly.
  • Perceptual Alignment: Adjust the alignment slider until light and sound appear synchronized.
  • Perceptual vs Hardware: This slider represents user-selected perceptual compensation, not a certified physical loopback measurement.

Technical context

This tool tests perceptual user synchronization. Audio timing uses Web Audio scheduling; visual rendering is subject to browser frame timing. Physical round-trip latency measurement requires dedicated external loopback test hardware.
